I agree with the rebuttal on the website by Droulez. Despite the bias that they work for Livestock australia, the comments are fair and warranted.

All things need to be taken into consideration, people that took part in the study and their other lifestyle factors. We know that cardiovascular disease and diabetes is a multi-pronged disease process.

The title certainly got our attention. However, if accuracy were inclusive it may have read ‘ Huge study shows PROCESSED red meat can increase the risk of dying and other red meat, smoking, and lifestyle factors may contribute’.

Organic grass fed meat eaten with a high number of vegetables,fibre and healthy lifestyle choices are likely to keep you away from these types of statistics.
