Pre-biotics come from foods such as bananas, rye, oats, citrus, nuts, legumes. Pre-biotics fuel and feed probiotics.  Prebiotics act a little like Robin, as he is to Batman. Probiotics get a lot of media attention- yet their side-kicks who give them the energy to promote a healthy bowel is understated. Pre-biotics come from foods such as bananas, rye, oats, citrus, nuts, legumes.

The latest Cochrane reviews are suggesting that research from a number of studies shows some evidence for prebiotic use in infants to 2 years of age in prevention of asthma and eczema.

They are looking at the benefits of adding pre-biotics ( the small chemical components of the foods listed above) to infant formula.

How do our  mums out there make sure their infants are getting what they need?

What are your thoughts on this?
