Our digestive systems rely on our para-sympathetic nervous system (PSNS). The PSNS system is activated when our muscles are relaxed. We cannot stimulate our pancreas, liver or stomach to release sufficient enzymes to breakdown food if we are stressed, eating on the run or watching tv.
